IT Data Migration Project Manager - Rotterdam, Netherlands - Start Date: ASAP - Rate: €35 - 45 per hour all inclusive

Our client, a major global consultancy, is looking for an IT Data Migration Project Manager for a role based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and frequent travel to the UK, USA and EMEA countries.

The project manager should have at least two full projects of Data Centre Migration and at least one Merger and Aquisition project in their background.

We are looking for 10+ years experience. The project roles and responsibilities will be as follows:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business goals and works with senior leadership and stakeholders for approvals
  • Ensures that projects are completed on time and meet all business and system requirements
  • Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals
  • Ensures project scope is well documented and managed properly throughout the delivery cycle of the project
  • Develops project plans, schedule and work breakdown structure for projects
  • Communicates project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner
  • Discuss and prioritize project issues with the project team, and provide help/support to the project team as required
  • Work over week ends during project go live
  • Participate in informal team meetings, client meetings, internal Operations meetings and Quality review meetings.
  • Implement the corrective/preventive action identified
  • Co-ordination with the other support groups and Domains
  • Discuss management of risks in advance with the Domain Leads
  • Update knowledge base with the resolutions as required and discussed in Post Outage Reviews
  • Escalating to higher management whenever required
  • Report the status to the higher management

Preferred Skills

  • Proven in-depth knowledge of project management disciplines (eg PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications etc.,)
  • Experience in handling Infrastructure integration projects for Mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality, ie product requirements quality, test quality and code quality
  • Practical experience with requirements and test case development
  • Strong experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale projects with a successful project delivery record
  • Experience working in a multi-supplier environmen
  • Proven experience in managing projects in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work with Business interface teams and business leads to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact
  • Working knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management frameworks such as ITIL v3, TQM or ISO 9000:2000 (certification not required, but is a plus).
  • Proven communication skills with multiple levels of an organization, including interaction with senior level management within the company
  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple high priority efforts/competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
