Your Tasks:

  • Take over responsibility for our infrastructure and be in charge of long term SOA planning and rollout
  • Shape the future architecture of Wimdu’s infrastructure based on your experience
  • Focus on the performance of our production, always ensuring maximum quality
  • Work together with a team of very experienced back-end ruby developers and other DevOps
  • Help to build up and lead a team of engineers
  • Work in an extremely agile and test driven environment with multiple daily releases

Your Profile:

  • You are experienced in infrastructure and you have a great understanding of production architecture requirements
  • You are able to  deploy and scale on VPS + Cloud (Rackspace / EC2)
  • You have a broad background in  Ruby on Rails development

Your skill set include comprehensive knowledge of:

  • Chef / Puppet / Other
  • Ubuntu / Debian
  • Nagios / Icinga, MySQL (Percona), Redis
  • Nginx / Unicorn / HAProxy
  • JVM (Jenkins)
  • CDN (Rackspace / S3 & Cloudfront)
  • Experience with High Traffic and Spikes
  • Load Balancers
  • MySQL (Percona)
  • TV and spikes
