User Experience Prototyper
Developing prototypes and demonstrators for the creation of compelling user experience for our millions of customers worldwide
Your job
You support product development project teams in developing ergonomic and user-friendly products and systems by delivering prototypes and demonstrators for user interfaces for products, eg (multi) touch screens, and applications on desktops and mobile platforms.
During all phases of development, testing and engineering you support these projects in their decision making process by:
Pro-actively gathering product requirements and translating these into the right questions, architectures and plans
Visualizing interactions concepts at product-, system- and workflow level
Translating dynamics and user interface behavior into high level prototypes together with a Visual Information Designer
Enabling Interaction Designers to communicate UI-concepts and GUI-designs to Software Engineers
Collaborating with 3D modellers to create more dimensional interaction models and demonstrators
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor Degree in the field of Interaction Design, Game Design, Media & Technology or comparable
You have proven experience with designing graphical user interfaces
You have proven experience with software development and prototyping tools, like Visual Studio, Expression Blend, MVVM design pattern. And you have affinity for hardware prototyping platforms like Arduino and Phidgets
Proven skills with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop)
You are driven to achieve the highest quality in usability and aesthetics, you take initiative and you are able to set the priorities right
You have strong communication skills and like to work in cross-functional teams
Fluent English, verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus
Eligible to work in the Netherlands
Context of the position
The team (25 professionals) is located in Venlo, but partners with all Research & Development sites worldwide. Our goal is to create one unified user experience for all solutions: hardware, software as well as services by delivering usability and intuitiveness from a user perspective. The focus is on: user profiling, interaction design, visual design, product design, hardware prototyping, and software prototyping and design validation.
