Conduct Risk Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Conduct Risk Manager to support the Conduct Risk Director in ensuring that the conduct risk framework, policies and processes are Embedded. To provide independent advice and 2nd line challenge to ensure all material decisions are within agreed risk conduct risk appetite

Key Responsibilities

* Provide conduct risk advice and guidance on new projects, products, propositions, services and other initiatives to ensure the delivery of fair customer outcomes, and appropriate risk mitigation in line with conduct risk appetite.
* Provide advice and guidance to the business on regulatory change, including preparing responses and inputting to lobbying proposals. Develop and maintain effective relationships with business areas to ensure early awareness of initiatives that require conduct risk support and appropriate awareness of customer and conduct risk requirements within those business areas.
* Develop and maintain effective and close working relationships with the relevant businesses, Business Partners and Compliance Monitoring to ensure all material conduct risks have been identified and that effective risk mitigation is in place to manage conduct risk within agreed risk appetite. As appropriate, provide input to relevant conduct policies, ensuring appropriate implementation, including training and stakeholder awareness. Where nominated as a subject matter expert, provide support to the Conduct Risk Team to ensure effective advice and guidance is provided.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of conduct risk requirements and developments, sharing knowledge with the wider Division as required.
* Deputise for Conduct Risk Senior Management as required and escalate issues as appropriate

Skills Required

* Advanced regulatory knowledge and experience of a broad range of FCA rules and practical application in a Conduct Risk environment.
* Knowledge of any of CASS, Networks or Platforms would be welcome.
* Experience interpreting and applying regulatory rules to practical scenarios and helping to devise compliant, commercially acceptable solutions.
* Confident in making regulatory judgements but recognises where decisions may be outside own limits and proactively seeks the necessary authority. Involves others in the decision making process to get a variety of inputs.
* Strong awareness of business model and strategy
* Good awareness of the wider business and regulatory environment and ability to understand the potential impacts of market and regulatory changes on.
* Understanding of the principles of conduct risk management, especially in relation to regulatory and customer focused risks
