A leading Telecommunications companies are on the hunt for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner with at 8 to 10 years experience. The role will see the suitable candidate working in a cohesive and rewarding team. The position is initially for 3 months with the view to extend.

This role is accountable for leading the successful implementation of BS&I HR team-wide programs and initiatives. To enable sustainable business performance through effective business and HR consulting.

Specifically on areas of organisational design, talent and change management. Partnering with the business and CoEs to create and deliver an aligned HR strategy and successful delivery of human resource initiatives and programs of work for the assigned team and/or client groups.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and BS&I HR team to help facilitate positive employee interactions
  • Lead and/or contribute to innovative HR projects across the BS&I HR team, including development of business plans/strategies, as well as carrying out various associated tasks to achieve desired outcomes
  • Lead and co-ordinate relevant company-wide initiatives, including HR calendar activities, not limited to:
  • Annual performance and remuneration review
  • Talent reviews
  • Employee engagement planning
  • Input into the annual learning and organisational planning cycle
  • Work with the BS&I HR Team and COE teams to establish and maintain an effective reporting structure for HR metrics to enable effective business partnering
  • Collaborate and work closely with BS&I HR team for successful delivery of projects, including managing the client relationship during periods of leave
  • Consult to specified management group in the business on Human Resources issues, leveraging expertise within COEs to design solutions to meet identified issues or interventions
  • Where required, and in partnership with the business, provide guidance and input on business unit initiatives including restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the COE and shared services HR functions, utilising the expertise of the team to deliver business outcomes for the client
  • Participate as a Business Unit advocate on Corporate HR projects
  • Ensure consistent application of Telstra operating systems, policies, procedures and implementation whilst having a pragmatic approach to solving for business issues

The ideal candidate for this role will have a varied background in Resourcing, Talent & Succession, Change Management, Performance Management, Employee Engagement & Workplace Relations.
