Software Support Analyst performs the following functions for purchased and in-house developed applications:
  • Analyze/resolve software related issues utilizing available tools and techniques.
  • Provide consulting services to resolve software issues or improve business processes.
  • Develop software solutions, interfaces, standards and procedures.
  • Develop software application packages for automated deployment.
  • Employ software quality assurance (QA) methodology.
  • Research and analyze corporate software.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all enterprise applications and common shrink wrapped software.
  • Coordinate the completion of ITS projects and tasks with business partners and IT support groups.
  • Support includes corporate offices, district offices, power generation facilities, subsidiaries and remote sites
  • Must be able to work off-hours (early mornings, nights, weekends) when necessary to resolve problems or perform installations and maintenance.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
SKILLS:

Required/must have skills:
  • Must have experience and skills necessary to successfully analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues/problems for the following applications: Office 2010; Internet Explorer V8 - 11; Adobe products, ie Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, Flash Player; MS Project; Visio; Java; Win7
  • Must be able to Analyze and troubleshoot software issues utilizing analysis tools, log files, support forums, and internal/external technical support personnel
  • Must be able to Create clear and concise documentation of solutions
  • Superior Customer Focus
  • Superior Communication Skills: verbal & written
Previous Experience Desired for each skill:
  • 5+ years. - Analyze and resolve software related issues/problems
  • 5+ years. - Utilizing troubleshooting skills and problem solving techniques.
  • 3-5 years. - Manage software upgrades/patches, new products and services.
  • 3-5 years. - Customer Service
Nice to have skills & experience:
  • Active Directory
  • Manual and automated software deployment
  • SCCM 2007 & 2012
  • AdminStudio
  • Scripting languages, ie VBS, Powershell
  • VM/VDI environment
  • GPO
  • Database Reporting Tools, ie Crystal, Access
Education:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Software Applications, Information Management or related field.
