Systems Engineer: Long term contract opportunity based in The Netherlands. Joining a leading and innovative semiconductor organisation Systems Engineers will utilise their software engineering experience to contribute to the structural improvements in place.Job Description;
To solve current issues in the organisations software issues on hardware configurations. This will require writing procedures on how to install/upgrade, handle End of Life issues, design new features, and directly pick up critical issues with prototypes.
Including;
* Develop/redesign and maintain facilities related to system installation
* Packaging
* Patching
* Backing-up
* Networking
* Monitoring
* Diagnostics.
Education;
BSc/ MSc in electronics or technical Software
Essential Experience;
* Must have experience in both Redhat Linux/CentOS 6.x and VX-Works
* Operating systems installation/ troubleshooting
* Windows 7
Optional Experience: Windriver Linux SW, Make, GCC, Subversion, RPM-Build, optional Kickstart Scripting, Bash, Python, optional Perl Protocol knowledge and analysis, TCP/IP, TCP-dump, WireShark HW, Computer Blade Systems (IBM BladeCenter, X-ES SBC preferred), Industrial PC#s, Cisco, Firewall and switches.
