Description

This position is for the development and support of the Salesforce Customer Portal that requires a full time, on-site contract worker with extensive Salesforce development experience. Advanced Salesforce/Force APEX developer.

Duties:
Performing all programming, development, integration and system administration assignments without close supervision.
Providing project management, programming, systems and/or system administration leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members.
Working on more complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.
Working independently on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or more programs, systems or in support if infrastructure component change management.
Developing major system modules, programs or infrastructure releases based on requirements gathered from system customers.
Performing integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
Fully knowledgeable of current programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems.
Performing integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions.
Assisting customers with documentation, training and usability efforts

SKILLS:

Required Qualifications:
Experience with integration development including both batch and Real Time.
Proficient at writing, testing, and deploying scalable code that handles bulk operations.
Experience managing Salesforce governor limits.
Experience working with SVN or similar version control tools.
Ability to effectively manage sandbox environments and deploy code changes between environments.
Graphic designer experienced in styling complex Force pages including custom HTML and Javascript.
Experience with custom Salesforce portals
Salesforce Development and Graphic/Web Design experience and can provide technical expertise for architecting and developing the Customer Portal
Four year college or university degree and a minimum of 4 years exempt experience in information services.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply data processing philosophies and techniques.
Knowledge of procedures and operations of the functional business areas.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply complex programming languages and other advanced development tools.
Ability to identify systems deficiencies and recommend and develop new software/programs to correct the deficiencies.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer operations systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer software and how to implement such software.
Ability to train and advise employees on the use of computers and software packages.
Demonstrated ability to resolve mechanical/technical problems with emphasis on troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lead project development teams.
Ability to identify and correct systems and program problems in a timely manner.
Ability to reinforce high quality standards driven by company objectives.
Ability to create and maintain an environment conducive to collaboration across corporate business units and service divisions.
Ability to listen to others and communicate effectively.

Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of the finance industry and experience in project leadership is desired.
