My client manufactures specialist machinery used in the manufacturing sectors, this machinery is incredibly bespoke and each machine can sell for millions of pounds. At their West Midlands plant they carry out conceptual design and manufacture of the machinery. The company turnover £6 million in the UK and supply to major blue chip clients such as JCB and Rolls Royce. Due to high demand for their technology they are aiming to grow their turnover sharply over the next two to three years. As part of the continued growth in their engineering team they are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Draughtsmen to begin employment as soon as possible.
The Role:
As an Electrical Design Draughtsmen you will be responsible for:
- Producing 2D control panel layouts.
- Production of electrical/wiring schematics for the panel wireman on the shop floor.
- Creation of cable routings.
- Production of electrical general arrangement drawings.
- All drawing work is done in either AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Creating all required BOM's and documentation.
The Candidate:
To be successful in your application you will need:
- Experience with either AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience in producing control panel layouts, electrical wiring/schematic drawings and cable layouts.
- A background in either an engineering, machinery or control panel building company for the engineering sector..
- Experience as either an electrical draughtsmen or in electrical draughting.
- Commutable to Dudley or happy to stay away
