Senior UX Developer
My client, a leading global funds company is looking for a Senior UX Developer to join their design group, designing websites and web applications for a range of their business units.
We are currently seeking a UX Developer to join the Dublin team that is experienced with HTML web application development and knowledgeable on responsive design.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with development teams to build Front End code that fits in with a given application development life cycle
- Build working prototype based on iterative collaboration with information architects and visual designers
- Develop Front End code based on technical standards, style sheets, templates & style guide components
- Consult with design teams on Front End best practice and inform design decisions based on sound technical guidance
- Maintain component libraries in accordance with design and development standards
Deliverables:
- Production-ready, performant Front End HTML/CSS code according to design development standards
- And/or working client-side application code (JS)
- Component library code & documentation for standardisation
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Degree in a related field, such as Graphic/Visual Design, Interactive Design
- 5+ years' experience in web application development
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with the following technologies:
- HTML/CSS3/JavaScript
- Compass/SASS
- Working knowledge of a JavaScript framework such as Backbone, Angular.js or Ember.js
- JavaScript unit testing experience advantageous (mocha, jasmine, quint)
- Grunt.js
- Node.js/npm
- Bootstrap/Foundation an advantage
- Git, SVN or other source control experience desirable
- Understanding of Responsive Design and its methodology
- Experience with Agile development
- Familiarity with UI best practice & coding & accessibility standards
- Online portfolio required
Initially a 6 month contract but with a view to extension(s). Great rates on offer.
