Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Business Intelligence and analytics functions by generating actionable customer insights influencing business and technical decisions.
- Create data visualization solutions.
- Develop analysis plans and output into Powerpoint.
- Lead research and analysis to lead business outcomes.
- Analyze data relationships, trends and conduct statistical analysis.
- Develop predictive models
- Conduct deep dive analysis with offshore and onshore team on structured and unstructured data as it relates to Verizon's customer, services and products
- Partner, work closely with business teams and partner IT teams on data acquisition and integration efforts.
- Drive collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources.
- Assist with text analysis, sentiment tuning, managing data testing projects.

Skills and Qualifications
Required (eg)
Minimum 3 years experience delivering analytical solutions using modelling tools such as SAS, R, SPSS or Rapid Miner.
Minimum of 2 years education in analytics, Business Intelligence (school work or certifications)
Bachelors in Statistics, economics, Information Systems or engineering with an MBA.
Experience in visualization tools such as Tableau and core reporting tools such as OBIEE/Microstrategy
Experience in writing SQL queries, Python.
Advanced knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL database, MongoDB etc.
Proficient in Statistics, data mining, text mining, machine learning. Strong statistical skills (for example, able to conduct analyses using HLM, regression, ANOVA, IRT methods, Structural Equation Modeling, etc)
Excellent Powerpoint, excel and presentation skills
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of turn around.
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Good communications skills, ability to explain insights in business terminology
Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Desired (eg)
Experience with doing predictive, advanced analytics on big data platforms such as Hadoop, Mapreduce with a combination of technologies such as Aster, Clarabridge, Clickfox.
Prior experience with Verizon desirable
Educational requirement:
Bachelors in Statistics, economics, Information Systems or engineering with an MBA.
