Description
My Bristol based Public Sector client is seeking a Corporate Project Manager/External Affairs Project Manager/Stakeholder Merger Project Manager for a 6 month contract.
Key Tasks for the Corporate Project Manager/External Affairs Project Manager/Stakeholder Merger Project Manager:
* Planning and managing the Project from outset to closure, including developing the Business Case
* Developing and managing a Project Plan, to support the activity, resources and interdependencies
* Creating Management Products such as Product Descriptions, Benefit Review Plan, Project Initiation Document, Stage/Exception Plans and Work Packages and agreeing them with the Project Board
* Preparing the Monthly Dashboards, End Stage Reports, Lessons Learned Reports, Exception Reports and End Project Report
* Establish and manage the Project's procedures - risk management, issue and change control, configuration management and communications
* Maintain the Risk, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID) Register, Daily Log and Lessons Learned Log
* Identifying and resolving issues and managing Project risks, including the development of contingency plans
* Developing and managing the budget and benefits realisation across the Project
* Lead and motivate the Project Management Team and ensure that behavioural expectations of Team Members are established
Key Skills/Experience Required for the Corporate Project Manager/External Affairs Project Manager/Stakeholder Merger Project Manager:
* Experience of mergers
* Stakeholder management experience
* Ideally experience of corporate governance & external affairs
* Public Sector/Government background desirable
* Proven general management and business change experience
* Experience of Project Management delivery, skills and techniques
* Experience in Resource Management.
* A good understanding of reporting methods
* Excellent Interpersonal and diplomacy skills with the ability to confidently interact at all levels within the organisation and external contacts
* Must be able to demonstrate the successful set up and management of detailed plans
* Evidence of support, training and mentoring
* Evidence of creating best practice standards and processes
* Evidence of facilitation skills to enable requirements gathering and definition.
* Willingness to travel across UK with some overnight stays possible when necessary
* Prepared to study for PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification if not already held
