Our client, one of the world's foremost defence companies, is looking for an experienced Software Assurance Analyst to join their core team based in Central London for a long term contract.
The successful candidate's role will include Management and maintenance of existing software asset management repository. Ensuring software licensing and general configuration management data is accurate and maintained up to date with changes as they flow through. Co-ordination and validating software licensing update information and making relevant updates to central repository taking responsibility and ownership for the accuracy of the data. Investigate software licensing queries; understand, diagnose and provide dynamic responses to issues raised and resolve. Coordination of software licensing requests and query resolution between multiple stakeholders; project managers, vendor management (client), software vendors, procurement and contract management.
Required Skills:
• Experience working in the Government sector would be beneficial
• Confidence to work independently and within a fast-paced team in a busy environment
• Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication
• Excellent written communication through the use of e-mail & formal reports
• Some commercial experience of Enterprise Agreements and Extended Support Agreements within leading software suppliers
• Appreciation of different software licensing types and options and specifically managing software renewal lifecycle
• Strong customer facing communication skills essential
• Understanding of ITIL framework and how software/hardware licensing feeds into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
