Logistics Freight Co-ordinator - Darlington - 6 months - £11.61/hr/Ltd
My client has a requirement for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join them out of their offices in Darlington. The role is initially on a 6 months contract and offering circa £11.61/hr/Ltd.
Reporting to the Global Freight & Shipping Specialist, the Logistics Freight Coordinator will be responsible for the daily management of international and domestic transportation, warehousing and service providers supply base for inbound and outbound flows across EMEA facilities.
Duties:
+ Provision of excellent customer service
+ Co-ordination of shipments of goods
+ Preparation of import/export documentation - ensure compliance with standard operating procedure, local customs and adhere to hazardous goods requirements
+ Adhere to procedures relating to accrual of costs, invoicing, cross charging and completion of shipment files
+ Place cargo Bookings/Reservations with agreed airlines, shipping agents or third party Freight carriers
+ Investigate routings for new customers and to get Quotes for the movement of cargo
+ Trace shipments from origin to final destination via carriers whilst monitoring freight spend
Skills:
+ Relevant Supply Chain and Logistics exposure
+ Knowledge of International Transportation, Transportation cost analysis and Import/export regulations
+ Exposure of domestic and international transportation
+ Oracle exposure is highly advantageous
