Job Description:
Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software.
Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
Provide architecture designs and cost estimates for midrange infrastructure required to provide computing resources for applications
Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems.
Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems.
Provides specialized technical guidance to others in work area.
Performs on site data center support that includes problem management, change management, project support and new implementations
Supports testing, planning, problem management, change management and staging of network hardware and configurations.
Provides customer support including testing network hardware and software, equipment installation and turn-up, and remote hands assistance as required
Provide technical troubleshooting and leadership required to recover from the most complex networking problems for the customer's LAN/WAN environments.
Provide support for Sniffer and various application analysis tools for bench marking and troubleshooting.
Participate in identification of root cause analysis, resolution, outage mitigations, testing and implementation of vendor/IT fixes or design changes.
Work closely with the business partners to identify/quantify business issues associated with specific projects, develop/implement business strategy, and assist in setting strategic tech direction in support of customer facing organizations.
Review/approve proposed tech system designs in collaboration with team

SKILLS:

Qualifications:
8 years network management experience in a Cisco based enterprise or data center environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise level network management and security
Cisco Router and switch management experience
Strong understanding of Cisco IOS
Solid skills and knowledge in routing and traffic management protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Spanning Tree, etc.)
Solid understanding of NAT, access-lists/access control, route-maps, policy routing, QoS, CBAC, NBAR
Strong layer 2 and layer 3 management experience
Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networks
Experience in managing WANs
Cisco PIX (or ASA) Firewall management experience strongly desired
Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation
Ability to work well with others across many organizations including development, sales, marketing, finance, customer support, and field service
Strong time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet all schedules
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
Willingness to provide off-hours on-call support and work off-hours as necessary
Ability to track progress on specified metrics set forth by your management team
CCIE & CCNP certification(s) strongly desired.
Significant experience with UNIX (eg, Cisco, Sun Servers), LAN/WAN, Routers and Switches, Network protocols, Shell Scripting,
Voice and Video Conferencing Technologies a plus.
CCNP/CCNA/CCIE is a plus
3-5 years Enterprise Network management
3-5 years Cisco Router & switch management experience in a WAN/LAN/VPN/ISP environment.
