Description
The position will manage and participate in the product development of mobile applications and their architectures in the areas of mobile commerce, location services, media streaming, social networking, etc.Responsibilities:
- Manage high value long term strategic projects that involve new and/or enhancing technology, are highly complex, and require tight coordination and integration with multiple organizations and suppliers.
- Provides overall direction and technical or analytical guidance to project and program teams that typically span multiple organizations and may also include outside suppliers/vendors.
- Provide technical leadership for new product/technology development projects in the areas including but not limited to location based services, mobile financial services, media streaming services, social networking services.
- Lead cross functional teams to manage programs within allotted timeline and budget. Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to champion program/project(s) across the entire organization
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, stakeholder communications and status reports.
- Proactively recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of various issues.
- Develop solutions to address business opportunities/requirements/challenges in mobile applications development, product life cycle management, and applications ecosystem (including storefront, mobile commerce systems, IT systems, and wireless network, partner systems).
- Conduct and perform analysis and impact assessment of business and operational requirements and propose solutions and approaches.
- Ensure technical robustness, scalability, quality, usability and maintainability of the white labeled products
- Cultivating best practices within the design and development team in terms of design standards, coding standards, best practices, etc.

- Need extensive and solid experiences and background in service architecture as well as project/product management and delivery.
- Must have in depth experience with product development and deployment of applications for mobile OS platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) and an understanding of APIs used by these platforms
- Strong technical background; able to understand system interactions/integrations between company and partners (eg billing systems, vendor platforms, internal network)
- Be able to recognize and solve problems quickly, asking for help and escalating as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills (oral/written)
- MS Office software suite, Visio and MS Project
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Ability to drive the product development and delivery from end to end, including OEM and development vendor management
- 5+ years in product/technology development or equivalent experience delivering software or wireless data services. Previous product/technology development responsibility in the field of wireless location based services, mobile applications development, or mobile commerce is preferred.
- 5+ years in development and specifications of solution and reference architectures in distributed or software systems. Prior experiences for wireless services preferred.
- Deep and demonstrable domain expertise/experience in mobile device's application platform (eg, J2ME, Android, Windows Mobile, etc), wireless data services architecture and eco-system preferred.
- Prior experience with wireless networks, services, and technologies, Internet or software development preferred.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to organize and motivate large cross-functional teams
- Ability to define requirements, drive product development and support activities with device manufacturers, solution providers
- Capable of articulating product position, marketing requirements, technologies across internal teams
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Must have proven success in developing and delivering presentations, including experience with PowerPoint.
- Specific experience with mobile commerce and applications development is preferred.
- Bachelor degree in a related, approved field required. Master degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
- Android, iOS and/or Windows are required.
- Detailed experience with managing the product life cycle of a mobile application would be helpful
