Oracle DBA
This global technology Giant is expanding their development function and is on the lookout for multiple Oracle DBAs. The Oracle DBA will be part of a growing team and be involved with large global projects
6 month contract role
West Dublin/Kildare location
Massive opportunity for long term contract
Roles and Responsibilities:
Installation, configuration, upgrade and patching of Oracle and SQL Server Products
Database and system back up and recovery
Implementation of database and server security
Implementation and maintenance of database and server running
Server, database and application-level troubleshooting
Consultation with technical and development teams
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Strong Oracle/Application DBA, with excellent relational databases design, development, and tuning.
- Strong knowledge of SQL querying, PL/SQL, and ODBC connectivity with the ability to reuse/develop/tailor SQL.
- Knowledge and experience of data warehouse design, data transformations, data mining, data marts, DWH/BI project implementations, ETL and BI applications and tools (Oracle, Informatica, ...).
- Experience with software development - full application development life cycle, knowledge of data and application integration concepts and Middleware implementation.
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Assist and lead the resolution of complex data problems for large/complex projects.
