Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit a Maintenance Project Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation
The Job:
The purpose of the Maintenance Project Engineer role combines project managing a small portfolio of ongoing projects with management of engineering and maintenance delivery. The role requires someone with a good understanding of both maritime engineering and project management skills.
Key Responsibility Areas
The successful Maintenance Project Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Co-ordinate the work of the project team
Manage the project life cycle & governance
Manage cost accounts, to ensure completion to planned targets for time, budget and quality
Monitor, within defined frameworks and in assigned areas, activities carried out on projects/programmes to support their effective delivery
Identify actions to respond to issues and deviations from project plans
Ensure customer requirements are achieved and identify actions to resolve project issues
Accurately record and report progress towards planned targets
Sponsor Change Management within the project & continually deliver improvement across the Business
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in order to meet their requirements
Create, review and update project plans
Assist Control Account Managers in the Project Planning and Control Processes
Define and specify, then act as customer of engineering and maintenance delivery, for the portfolio of projects
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
Experience working in a Maritime/Shipping maintenance environment is desirable
Ideally be a very competent user of MS Excel and MS Project with experience in a Project Management role
An Association for Project Management qualification or equivalent is desirable
