Communications & Marketing Manager

3 month contract
My Public Sector client based in Northampton is currently looking for an experienced Communications & Marketing Manager to join them on a 3 month contract starting ASAP. The role is needed to lead the client's strategic marketing and communications service including: corporate communications, internal communications, marketing, publications, advertising, promotional materials and campaigns, proactive media campaigns, and the cost-effective employment of all media for such purposes.
Roles responsibilities:
* Management and leadership of a team of communications specialists.
* Advise directorates on communications and marketing campaigns.
* Act as the lead communications professional for the client
* To manage and deliver a cost-effective and dynamic communications and marketing service and to ensure the development of the organisation's brand and visual identity.
* To hold responsibility for the budget of the team of communications specialists and campaign budgets.
* To proactively work with the communications teams from partner organisations in the delivery of cross organisation communication strategies.
Skills/experience required:
* Can demonstrate effective delivery of comprehensive and innovative communications and marketing campaigns and brand strategies in large complex organisations.
* Can demonstrate success in leading an effective, high performing team
* Has experience of finding communications and marketing solutions to complex challenges, embracing the very latest techniques, practices and thinking including web communications channels.
* Can demonstrate a good understanding of planning and delivering complex internal communications strategies to diverse audiences
* Has good experience of delivering effective project and change communications
* Clear evidence of an ability to build strong relationships with key suppliers to achieve beneficial outcomes for the client.
* Clear evidence of building strong relationships with senior managers.
* Excellent track record in delivering solutions to complex problems
