Key Dimensions
· Provide top-tier seismic and well data management support with a goal to ensure the best data sets are available for technical users in Petrel and Landmark DSG platforms.
· Work collaboratively with Subsurface Computing team to ensure "best practices" for seismic and well data management are being leveraged.
Core Accountabilities
· Responsible for providing 2D & 3D seismic and interpretation data management, loading and scaling primarily in Petrel and Landmark DecisionSpace Geoscience platforms. Kingdom seismic support may also be required.
· Audit and load final, participated well and seismic data to G&G application space. Data preparation of well data for master well data management team. Bulk loading from 3rd party sources.
· Archive and retrieve project data via PARS system interface.
· File transfer to external sites and other BHPB sites such as Perth via FTP and File Catalyst respectively.
· Interface with Records and Information Management team to ensure secure handling of media such as tapes, USB hard-drives and supporting documents.
· Tape-to-system and system-to-tape or portable hard drive transcription services.
· Well and seismic data preparation such as transcription and navigation/geometry editing.
· Liaise with business teams and data management peers to ensure business goals and requirements are being met

Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies
· Bachelor's degree in geoscience, petroleum engineering, computer science or other relevant discipline preferred.
· Minimum of 4 years recent experience in a seismic and well data management role providing project administration, 2D & 3D seismic data analysis, loading and archival.
· Knowledge and understanding of the seismic data lifecycle to include acquisition methodologies, processing workflows and basic interpretation workflows.
· Well data loading experience including well headers, log curves, tops, directional surveys, checkshots and time-depth curves.
· Working knowledge of geodetics with ability to interrogate, resolve, transform and validate spatial reference data is required.
· Experience working with Petrel and Studio applications. Petrel's reference-to-working project and Studio database methodology will be highly regarded.
· Landmark DSG experience preferred.
· Petra and Kingdom experience is a plus.
· Excellent analytical skills to include proficiency in the Linux and Windows platforms.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time and project management skills with ability to multi-task and assist in delivering projects on time.
