The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for: all phases of project management from project concept selection, AFE preparation, design, execution, and post-audit of gas gathering system projects and associated facilities including;
Well site dehydration, liquid / liquid separation, gas compression, and gas metering stations
Following up on construction activities to ensure compliance with construction contract documents as well as regulatory, industry, and corporate standards and best practices
Ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry, and corporate HSE standards and best practices
Participating in design and HAZOP / PHA safety reviews
Preparing scope of work documents for construction and process equipment tender packages
Supporting Supply Chain Management activities
Participating in field tours to gas processing and compression facilities to assess plant operations and identify optimization opportunities
Developing and implementing technical and operational improvements to the overall gas gathering and processing systems drawing on design and project exposure from a diverse array of shale gas, NGL, and unconventional oil production.
Supporting the development and implementation of a nodal analysis system for fluid flow within the gathering and processing network
Preparing project cost estimates and documentation for AFEs and supporting variance analysis
Supporting the preparation of regulatory applications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering
8+ years' experience in facilities design and project engineering within an Exploration & Production operating organization or in an engineering strategic alliance with an E&P firm
Must have US Onshore experience
Experience obtained from direct involvement in projects: gas and NGL pipelines, gas dehydration processes, gas compression, gas / liquids separation, and fluids metering
Working knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards applicable to US onshore shale operating regions
Proven experience in managing engineering consultants to meet deliverable obligations
Proven ability to resolve design issues and operating problems arising with gas processing facilities
Direct involvement in prospect development spanning from field discovery through all project execution phases to start-up of facilities
General computer skills and proficiency with MS Office software
Field based experience as a gas plant or pipeline engineer desired
Experience with HYSYS process simulation and pipeline hydraulic modeling software desired
Experience with nodal analysis modeling software desired
Experience in NORM environments desired
