Seeking a passionate Software Developer and "technology junkie" who is an expert in Java/J2EE to work on the full-stack and full life cycle of green field projects. We are looking for someone who is both innovative, skilled, and eager to expand their technical abilities.This Java/J2EE developer should be skilled in both server-side development using Spring framework, and also be familiar with modern JavaScript frameworks.
This company is both large and global, but its Chicago office is a smaller, highly collaborative, and Agile team.
The team is working on developing a number of cloud-based, Big Data applications. Candidates must be skilled in:
- Java/J2EE
- Spring
- XML
- Any modern JavaScript Framework
- Agile development
- Knowledge and experience with functional languages is a big plus
- Passion is essential! We are looking for type of person who goes to meet up groups, takes online courses in Ruby, Clojure, or Scala, or does side projects for FUN!
- Big Data development experience is a plus
- An enthusiastic desire to learn
