A highly technically advanced financial firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Risk Developer to develop world class Risk and Pricing Applications. This developer will remain hands-on and technical, while also collaborating with the technology team and business side of the firm. This is an extremely critical role that will involve creating and modernizing the company's Risk Model.Known to be one of the most technically cutting edge companies in Chicago, this firm truly views technology as an investment in their business-not a cost. What will you be doing?
- You will be responsible for applying modern technology to solve vital business problems
- Designing and Developing systems, while also recognizing problem areas and offering solutions
- You will be responsible for leading code reviews and solution design
- Joining forces with other IT staff to develop appropriate scheduling and execution parameters
- Executing change to technology systems for significant risk management and pricing projects
- Utilizing statistical and stochastic models in pricing/ risk management of financial derivatives
- Assess application for performance and recommend changes (latency, throughput, SQL, scalability)
The strongest candidates will possess the following skills/experience:
- Java expertise and hands-on experience with server side Java technologies (6+ years Java experience)
- Financial industry experience
- Experience working with Risk and/or Pricing
- Knowledge of financial mathematics
- Desire to solve business problems
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, etcs
- Ability to work under minimal management
