Senior Technical Business Analyst - Boston - Hedgefund - $150K+ Total CompA major hedge fund in the Boston area is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join their back-office Simcorp team within the Investment Systems division. They are looking for someone with strong familiarity in Eagle Security Reference Manager.
As one of the largest hudge funds in the New England area, this firm seeks the best of the best to help drive their business forward. The opportunity on this team also allows for a great training and development in IT and Finance.
The Simcorp team is an IT group that supports the Investment Systems division of the firm. The business analysts on this team each specialize in certain systems from PACE to Bloomberg. Currently they are looking for a BA who has extensive experience working with the Eagle Security Reference Manager (SRM).
Primary Responsibilities:
* Elicit the operational community's requirement for enhancing existing systems and workflow
* Liaise with member of our IT staff to ensure project requirements are clearly documented and that initiatives are progressing as expected
* Develop/review business testing processes to ensure requirements are met and implementation risk is mitigated.
* Work with the business community to establish functional requirements for the warehouse, including data loading, data exports, data storage requirements, and reporting requirements
* Write business requirement documents to be utilized by our IT staff
Required Skills:
* Expertise with Eagle Investment Systems - PACE, Security Reference Manager (SRM), and PACE Reporting
* SQL Querying
* Understanding of Security Master and Transactions within PACE
* Familiar with Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC vendor files
* 5+ years experience with data warehousing concepts
* Experience writing Business Requirement Documents and QA Test Plans
* Understanding of back office workflows, OTC and Exchange traded securities
