DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing production data and assisting engineers in maintaining production and economic forecasts, as well as providing technical support for other engineering applications.
  • Maintain Aries SQL databases for economic calculations.
  • Lead the operated technical support as WellView and Prodview champion.
  • Establish a process to automatically update the engineering databases daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Responsible for the monthly sales accruals estimates report, sales volumes variance report, field downtime.
  • Responsible for the update and creation of excel based visual basic tools created to optimized cycle time and workloads.
  • Supervise and train junior engineering techs in the team in SQL database management, ARIES and Wellview.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate well status of all properties in the operated assets, including field names, working and Net Revenue interests, region, and special area roll-ups.
  • Generating various daily operations reports as needed.
  • Update Aries database as required. Create new projects within Aries for Engineers as needed.
  • Provide support to field staff on Reporting, Production Surveillance, Downtime, as needed
  • Generate executive production reports, perform reserves assessments and prepare corporate quarterly reports.
  • Project Lead in the implementation of Prodview for production accounting and optimization.
  • Data integration between engineering, operations, accounting and land departments.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prefer bachelors or associates degree in a technical field such as IT, engineering, industrial engineering or related field.
  • Prefer 10 to 15 years of engineering technician or engineering database experience for operational assets.
  • Expert in DB management and database programming in different platforms such us Access, SQL is preferred.
  • Advance database programming experience in SQL or SAS or Visual Basic.
  • Advance to expert proficiency in softwares such us MS project, Aries, Ms SQL server manager, Wellview and Prodview.
  • Prefer advanced or expert experience in Aries. A proven track record of performing economic analysis and also reviewing economic analysis using Aries.
  • Prefer advanced or expert experience Wellview.
  • Knowledge of Spotfire, a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for accurate results
  • Must be results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a part of a multi-disciplined teams
  • Must be highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good organization, planning and presentation skills
