The role exists within the Americas M&IB Information Security Engineering team to analyse and understand requirements for information security systems, and to engineer and deliver the information security toolset. The individual will support the global security architecture and engineering leads as well as the regional security investment programme. The person will deliver solutions across multiple security disciples and the person may work on multiple projects simultaneously. In addition, the role exists to:
- Ensure business requirements for InfoSec solutions are well understood and incorporated into designs and plans
- Ensure InfoSec solutions are designed to a high quality that are compliant with RBS standards
- Contribute to the formation of roadmaps and information security standards
Requirments
- Good general awareness of Information Security policies and Technology Risk Management from an enterprise / banking systems context
- Strong understanding of all areas of Information Security technical areas including but not limited to:
- Vulnerability Management
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Databases
- Networks
- Operating Systems
- Knowledge and awareness of industry best practice standards and security regulations including the ISO 27000 series and SOX regulations
- Windows and UNIX fundamentals including solid grasp of authentication and access control models applicable to these platforms
- Understanding of database and schema design
- Basic level SQL knowledge
- Good knowledge of technical architecture and functionality of applications used to support the business.
- A strong analytical and logical approach to systems design and development.
- Ability to use different techniques to gather and analyse functional and non-functional requirements
