Summary: Temporary Supplier Quality Engineer in a Life Science Company.Contract to hire opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Generate and maintain all Quality Management Systems.
- Lead and manage the IQC team on the incoming activities in achieving quality objectives.
- Liaise with suppliers on all quality issues, manage quality improvement programs, execution of the source inspection and supplier certification programs.
- Involve in supplier qualification.
- Perform First Article Inspection in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers.
- Plan and conduct audits on Internal/supplier Systems.
- Manage supplier performance and quality systems.
- Generate and analyze weekly and monthly performance reports for suppliers.
- Perform failure analysis and identify effective/efficient corrective/preventive actions.
- Review products for Design for Manufacturing, Design for Reliability and Design for Quality practices.
- Drive quality initiatives to ensure products are meeting specifications.
Required - Education, Knowledge and Abilities:
- BS/BA Degree
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong focus and attention to details
- Solid computer skills including intermediate to advances skills on MS Excel
- Able to learn and apply new information quickly
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Solid communications capabilities
- Able to effectively work with others
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated pride in work
