SQL AnalystJob DutiesThe SQL Developer uses database programming to support complex analyses of administrative, clinical, financial, and demographic data for various health system programs. The developer configures databases, implements data models, and develops pipelines to transfer data among disparate sources and systems. The developer is responsible for building complex data sets and using the data to inform clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders.
Job Qualifications
- Strong SQL programming skills, particularly for the Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server platforms
- Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and tools
- Ability to comprehend relationships among data elements in an electronic medical record, and both professional and institutional claims
- Ability to comprehend clinical, operational, and financial measures
- Understanding of statistical concepts
- Baccalaureate degree in health sciences, information systems, computer science or other pertinent field is required
- Prior work experience with health care data is required
- Experience with Epic Beaker is a plus
- Any Laboratory reporting experience is a plus
