Description
The Clinical Systems Analyst role involves communicating with managers, providers and staff to coordinate training, installs and support; managing requests for changes to the entire NextGen system; implementing EHR including the modification of templates, and applying EPM knowledge to modify master files, implement new features of an installed EPM/EHR system.Duties and Essential Job Functions:
- Provides support for Nextgen EHR and related systems
- Participates in on-call rotation for support coverage of operating hours
- Provides back-fill support for other Physician Systems team members
- Adopts all standard processes and documentation responsibilities relative to issue management, change management, testing, training, and documentation
- Responds to customer issues and change requests with a high degree of success according to established service levels and/or expectations
- Actively participates in knowledge-sharing and cross-training.
- Interacts with system vendor support personnel and IT department to resolve customer issues and requests.
- Gains specific knowledge of distinctive differences between system deployments, and leverages opportunities to standardize when appropriate
- Participates, on an as-needed basis, in system deployment, testing, and training activities
- Participates, on an as-needed basis, in all system upgrades, fixes, and enhancements
- Provide support, training, and/or other necessary services
Experience and Education:
- 1 to 2 years of Nextgen or other EHR implementation or support experience
- 2 to 3 years of healthcare IT experience
- Clinical expertise in an ambulatory setting strongly preferred
- Undergraduate degree preferred
