Responsibilities:

The Sr Buyer Planner will be required to review / analyze daily exception reports and MRP to determine packaging and service needs. The Sr Buyer Planner will be required to review material availability and issue packaging or production orders to fulfill those requirements. Daily contact with a variety of departments, this includes Materials Managers, Warehouse Personnel, Inventory Analysts, Purchasing, Quality Control and Production Supervisors.
  • Review material availability, issue packaging and or production orders.
  • Communicate material shortages to Purchasing and Management.
  • Resolving routine and non routine issues.


Qualifications:
  • Experience working within an ERP system.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude in a growing environment, will need to be open minded, ready for change, self starter
  • Solid organizational skills; attention to detail a must
  • Mathematical Abilities (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
  • Problem-Solving Skills (able to solve problems, make logical decisions and multi-task)
  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years related experience with inventory management and basic knowledge of Word and Excel


Environment:

Primary work area will be located in a cubicle on the production floor. In this environment, the employee will be exposed to noise from basic production assembly including, but not limited to, hammering, foam machines, tape machines, air hoses, drills, pallet jacks, carts, etc.. The duties of this job require the majority of ones time using the computer to analyze MRP, materials availability and issuing orders. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
