Huxley Associates are currently seeking a Market Risk Officer for a major Financial Services provider based in New York City.The Market Risk Management team is part of the RISK function and is independent of the trading businesses. MRM analyses risk, aggregates risk, communicates risk in a transparent way, forms independent opinions and participates in the decision-making processes of the different businesses. MRM is thus an integral part of the business and its contribution is central to ensuring that the levels of risk are in line with the risk appetite of the bank.
MRM's mission is to deliver an appropriate market risk framework that ensures we meet our regulatory requirements while facilitating the commercials needs of the Front Office in a form that is in line with the risk appetite of the Management Board.
As a Risk Officerin Market Risk you will have various responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Evaluating the requirements of DFAST / CCAR for Market Risk
- Leading and driving execution of 'Change Management' initiatives related to DFAST / CCAR including:
1: Agree & set goals / timescales with business / support areas
2: Follow up on these goals & timescales
3: Communicate progress to senior business management
Essential skills will include:
1:In-depth knowledge of market risk and related regulatory requirements
2: Direct experience of implementing DFAST / CCAR for market risk
3: Project management
4: Excellent communicator and influencer, good time-management and organizational skills, have attention to detail and good drive & initiative.
5: A proven track record in delivering IT re-engineering projects is preferable
6: Solid Undergraduate Degree
