Description
Responsibilities- Engineering/designing of Linux infrastructure
- Define and implement automated system configuration processes
- Scripting/coding in Python to facilitate software deployment processes
- Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting in Python
- Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
- Monitoring critical trading system environments in a Linux environment
- Provide recommendations on application design - multicast settings, network configuration
- Work closely with the development teams to understand and design tool and process improvements
- Own application server image configurations, collaborating with engineers to optimize for performance, reliability, service requirements
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or equivalent technical field
- Python coding experience with open source technologies
- Linux and Windows OS experience
- Integration and cloud experience a plus
- Experience working cross functionally with development, support, and QA for process and tool improvements
- Passion for the trading industry and technology that drives it
- Problem solving and analytical thinking skills
