A client of us in the energy sector located in Houston downtown area is willing to give the opportunity to a junior smart applications developer to join their ranks for a 9 Months project scope.You're the man if you can quickly understand the business and work with the assigned business analysts to develop simple, effective and maintainable solutions for complex business problems.
Around 2 years of experience is preffered.
Technologies:
C#,
SQL / SQL Server,
Excel - macros, VBA,
Programming - Messaging, Queues, Event driven.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors level degree (Preferably in Computer Science).
Microsoft certifications shall be a plus.
Experience:
Experience working with C# (preferably) / Java programming languages.
Familiar with general application development processes and systems methodologies.
Willingness to acquire the business knowledge to solve complex business problems.
Has the ability to ask the right questions in the right manner at the right time.
Must be a people friendly person who can work with a positive can do attitude.
Prior experience working in the energy sector (Power / Gas / Emissions) is preferred.
Prior knowledge of front office / middle office / back office operations in a trading environment is a plus.
