Job descriptionOur Client is looking for a Oracle Business Intelligence who will be responsible for the delivery of the BI release 4.4
- Subject matter expertise with the out-of-the-box RPD objects for the pre-built analytical applications version 7.9.5 or 7.9.6
- Knowledge of the OBI Applications: Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain and Order Management. Procurement and Spend. Finance Application is primary preferred
- Create logical star schemas
- Design, build, test, implement and maintain any new or modified RPD objects or ETL mappings for the analytics applications (OBI Apps)
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all new or modified RPD objects
- Prepare and maintain documentation for all new or modified RPD objects and ETL mappings
- Prepare Code Migration requests using automated code migration tool
- Participate in design of new data warehouse tables as needed
- Design and conduct unit tests of new or changed RPD objects
- Interact with business units to understand their needs and design appropriate RPD objects
- Participate in performance testing and tuning
- BI Publisher development and support end user's efforts to use this reporting tool
- Provide internal consulting assistance to the report writing teams
- Participate in the implementation of any OBIEE product upgrades
- Prepare status reports for all assigned work
Responsibilities:
Work with end-users to define OBIEE BI reporting requirements.
Work with business analysts to document OBIEE and Publisher BI reporting requirements.
Work with ETL staff to define BI data structures for data loading
Define a BI and Publisher reporting strategy
Define the data mart data structures using ERWIN
Define Connection pools
Design and develop the BI business model in OBIEE and Publisher Reports
Develop the OBIEE presentation layer
Unit test the OBIEE BI dashboard
Set OBIEE security
Implement OBIEE as portlet within Webcenter Suite portal
Define alerts and events as needed for dashboards
Document the dashboard Work with End-users for approval and signoff of dashboardsQualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or related degree and 10+ years of related IT experience
- 6+ years experience configuring and tuning Informatica ETL applications
- 3+ years experience designing and developing data warehouses
- 3+ years experience configuring Oracle BI (RPD)
- Experience using SQL skills to test and validate solutions
- Experience with Data Modeling of OLTP and OLAP data bases
- Experience with Star Schema Modeling
- Experience performance tuning of Reports and ETL.
- Approximately 4 Years experience working with the OBI Apps
- Previous OBI Application upgrade involvement preferred:
OBI 10g to 11g
OBI Applications 7.9.5 to 7.9.6
- Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite EBS Application and in Oracle DB tuning preferred
- Experience providing reporting and BI solutions within the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Unix / Linux experience a plus
