Consultant - Database DeveloperRESPONSIBILITIES
* Work with development team to design, develop and support investment management related applications
* Develop functional enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software
* Define test conditions and develop accurate and complete test plans
* Collaborate with development team and business users in the testing of new software programs and applications
* Troubleshoot issues and be able to implement fixes
* Develop documentation, reference materials, work flows and training materials
* Translate business needs into detailed written requirements bringing own experience into solutions
REQUIREMENTS
* 7-10 years of experience in development design and systems management, preferably in financial services
* Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline
* Strong database(Oracle PL/SQL) skills
* Good DotNet language expertise - Core C# (3.5 and above)
* Knowledge of equity and fixed income business
* Exposure to compliance applications (Eagle/CRD/in-house) is a plus
* Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management.
* Highly organized individual; detail-oriented; and the ability to work with independently in a rapidly changing environment
