Description
Essential Job Duty:Design and implement cost-effective well completions, while maximizing hydrocarbon recovery on all new drill wells.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multifunctional technical teams and design, direct, and monitor the completion plan and testing program for new drill wells.
- Provide engineering, operations, regulatory and supply chain management support for initial completions and complex workover operations.
- Lead internal completion design reviews and risk assessment for assigned wells.
- Provide full time engineering support to completion/workover rig executing assigned well.
- Onsite engineering support for hydraulic fracturing and other complex completion operations.
- Evaluate activities against pre-established goals.
- Understand and actively participate in HES program.
- Manage contracts and contractors to continuous improvement.
- In conjunction with Supply Chain Management, prepare tenders, analyze vendor response, provide contract award recommendations, and administer assigned contracts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- Experienced in the use of FracPro or other industry standard modeling software programs.
- Minimum of 5 years completion design and operations experience on land operations.
- Previous experience with unconventional reservoirs and/or Permian Basin is a desired.
- Knowledge of well design and completion operations, with capability to ensure safe, consistent and high performance operations.
- Frac stimulation experience.
- Strong written communication skills & excellent organizational skills.
- Proven experience in the practice of project management and performance processes (focus on performance improvement, risk management, category management).
Ability to direct and coordinate the work activities of suppliers, and other completion engineers
