My client is currently seeking a Senior Software Architect to join their team in. The successful candidate will detail out flow and API interface of each major block in the SW. Customer facing product documents including architecture, API and design will be generated.Primary Responsibilities:
* Successful candidate should demonstrate proficiency in knowledge of system architecture, software partitioning and API development.
* Solid foundation in software design methodology, AV processing and a real-time embedded system design.
* Ability to innovate software structure to improve efficiency and quality of software development.
* Documentation skills for providing product specifications to customer and architecture to internal teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
* BSEE or BSCS (MS preferred) with 4+ years of direct experience defining software architecture of video processing systems and software.
* Strong knowledge of video compression standards like MPEG-2, H.264/AV and understanding of HW/SW design tradeoffs and issues.
* Hands-on knowledge of AV streaming architecture is a must.
* Experience with multimedia system level design issues like system latency, system performance and audio/video synchronization and real-time embedded programming experience.
* Working knowledge of C/C++ and experiences with embedded RTOS and Linux.
* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deliver architecture specifications including customer presentations.
* Familiarity with HW/SW partitioning is desired.
