The Petrophysical role will be performed in a multi-disciplinary project team environment where geophysical, geological, petrophysical and engineering data are fully integrated in the full life cycle of E&P activities: exploration, appraisal, development and production.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Well log analysis/interpretation
* Work with team members to specify data acquisition requirements
* Wireline, LWD, Core Analysis contractor selection support
* Well data management
* Provide remote and/or on-site supervision of well logging operations
* Coordination of routine and special core analysis
* Integration of log/core data into petrophysical models
* Definition of net pay criteria
* Petrophysical input to geological analysis
* Assist team members with the integration of the results of new well data into reservoir models and reserve analyses
* Petrophysical modeling to estimate hydrocarbon column heights
* Participation in defining and executing evaluation strategies and programs
* Understanding and applying uncertainty/risk analysis to help characterize reservoir uncertainty
* Handle both operational Petrophysics for drilling wells and project Petrophysics

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

* Excellent skills in petrophysical interpretation including integration of log and core data sets and formation evaluation of carbonates, clastics and shaly sands.
* Thorough understanding of Petrophysics, wireline logs, LWD, core analysis and fluid properties.
* Experience in formation evaluation program design
* Operational experience in both open and cased hole log data acquisition
* Experience in rock mechanics for hydraulic fracture design
* Strong multi-disciplinary integration capability
* Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to present conclusions and recommendations
* Be willing to be on call during the week and on a rotational basis during weekends and holidays
* Proficient with, industry recognized Petrophysical evaluation software, Geolog, PowerBench, Techlog, Geo2flow, Petrel, etc.

Education, Training & Certifications

* Minimum of 10-15 years of industry experience
* Previous experience with a major wireline service company is highly desirable
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or related degree with a Master's Degree preferred
