Electrical Engineer

The ideal candidate will have familiarity of low power electronics design, strong analysis skills, and an understanding of test development. Application of Six Sigma development methods, such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Concept Engineering (Pugh, AHP), Robust Characterization (P-Diagram), and Capability Analysis is a plus. This position will work with more experienced engineers to execute on a variety of projects and will be part of a larger development team. This position provides both the challenge and satisfaction of getting a final product out the door and to the customers as well as providing full lifecycle support for the product.

Position Responsibilities

* Help define and manage hardware requirements.
* Design board level analog and digital electronics for neurostimulator instruments.
* Design and implement breadboards, prototypes and test vehicles.
* Develop test methods for verification
* Support device qualification through test plan development and writing test reports.
* Analyze functional capability using test data, simulation, and statistical methods.
* Perform risk analysis related to design decisions and tradeoffs.
* Circuit level design and analysis.
* Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. .

Qualifications

* BS in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with 2+ years of electronic design and testing experience
* Experience in new product development of complex microprocessor-based embedded systems.
* Experience working with LabView.
* Experience working in a medical device work environment.
* Demonstrated design verification and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a working knowledge of quality and statistical methods.
* Demonstrated skills in writing engineering documents (specifications, test plans, etc)
* Proven, strong soft skills related to leadership, teaming, communications, and planning/coordinating
