6 month contract Senior Supplier Quality Engineer position in Twin City Area! Immediate hire!

Senior Supplier Quality Engineer with experience in supplier quality. This position will be working within the Quality Compliance department providing support to execute qualifications of new suppliers and devices. This position will perform Quality Engineering tasks for new product development projects and is responsible for assigned aspects of Quality Assurance Department operation to assure compliance with Quality System regulations.

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
  • Lead the Supplier Monitoring Program and provide Quality Assurance technical leadership and support to RI
  • Manage the Supplier Performance Program by interfacing with suppliers to drive corrective/preventive action
  • Work with production to implement supply chain based improvements to current manufacturing processes and products.
  • Perform qualifications/validation testing to assist suppliers
  • Prepare and review test plans and reports (First Article Inspections, qualification, validation)
  • Conduct audits/assessments of current or future suppliers, writing supplier quality plans and reports outlining qualification requirements and test plans


The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer must meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science related field (i.e. engineering, chemistry, physical science)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the medical device industry
  • Three-year direct supervision experience, in a technical discipline
  • Two years minimum in the development, interpretation or application of standards, guidelines and special controls
  • Strong working knowledge and application of regulations and requirements
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communications skills
  • Must be team oriented, but also be able to work independently
  • Ability to use and understand Statistical Tools
