We are urgently seeking a Functional Analyst to work in Belgium for a fantastic 3 month + contract! Please note only Belgium Citizens/Residents are being considered for this opportunity.Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst with broad experience in Retail Banking - Primarily Investments and Advisory domains. Experience with regulatory changes / requirements (FSMA, MIFID, etc) will be ideal.
As a Functional Analyst you will be responsible to analyse the business requirements received from Business Analysts and is responsible for translating them into Functional Specifications towards the systems and other deliverables required to enable solution construction. The Functional Analyst creates and modifies business facing documentation including user manuals and solution briefs.
Responsibilities:
· Complete and elaborate functional software design (high level design) in accordance with solution designed by solution architect and documentation of the same.
· Analyse business requirements documentation received from Business Solutions
· Formulate and create functional specification documentation, in close working with Business Analysts, Application Owners and Solution Architects.
· Analyse technical project requirements documents received from Application Management, for functional impacts.
· Define Test scenario's and test cases ; execute and support testing
· Supports testing on behalf of users, operations, and testing teams potentially including test plans, test cases, test-data and review of interface testing, between different applications, when required.
· Work with application developers to resolve functional issues from UATs, and to help find solutions for various functional difficulty areas.
· Trouble shooting to resolve reported bugs / issues on applications
Profile:
· Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar role
· Relevant experience in IT Investments and Advisory domains
· High analytical and technical capabilities
· Experience in various environments (mainframe/new technology) is a plus
· Proven communication skills
· Profound knowledge of methods and tools for functional specifications
· Knowledge of technical aspects including middle wares
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Experience in testing
· Experience in working with different Vendors (located locally and/or offshore)
· Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and/or relevant work experience)
· Fluent in English, French and/or Dutch
· Technical background is a plus
· Experience in multi projects
