A fantastic opportunity for an experience Software Architect/Developer on a 6 months contract based in Antwerp.Job purpose:
Act as Software Architect/Developer during initial Connected Home project concept and design phases. Participate in software proof-of-concept development.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as SW Architect and developer during initial Connected Home project concept and design phases
- Participates in software proof-of-concept development and prototyping
- Participates in the project feasibility and SW design phase
- Translates high level marketing requirements into top level design requirements
- Creates user case descriptions, architectural diagrams, flow diagrams
Profile:
Education:
Master degree in Computer Science / Telecommunications or similar through experience
Experience:
10+ years experience
Recommended technical knowledge:
- Experienced SW developer.
- Experienced with SW development in Ruby
- Experience with NoSQL database development: MongoDB and Redis
- Experience with Sinatra web application framework (or Ruby on Rails)
- Experience with Javascript development (e.g. D3.js)
- Experience with REST web service API design
- Experienced with application development for the Amazon Web Services
platform (EC2/S3)
- Experience with application/server monitoring (e.g. NewRelic) is a plus
- Experience with web related security aspects (knowledge of XSS, XSRF, input validation)
- Experience with security related protocols (SSL/certificates)
- Experience with the Linux OS.
