An exciting sister company to one of the largest travel organisations in Dublin are looking for an experienced iOS developer to join their development team. The iOS developer will colaborate with the existing members of the team to develop an iOS application that will mimic the core functionality of their website. It is an initial 3 month contract with a serios likelihood of extension. The rate to be paid per day is negotiable dependent on experience.

This will include -
  • Browse host profiles
  • Search by map / dates / availability filters
  • See homestay profile, photos, descriptions
  • Messaging section to interact with host
  • Ability to book (webview integration with WorldPay payment pages)
  • List bookings
  • Manage guest account
  • Signup to become a host
  • Login / signup via Facebook
  • Push notifications for new messages received


You will need -

Ability to work pragmatically & independently

Experience with MapKit framework, Geocoding and Local Search API

In depth knowledge of standard iOS components, UIViewControllers, NIBs and Storyboards.

Experience with push notifications

Experience with JSON API parsing & integration

Experience with caching content & images

Experience with messaging applications

Preferred experience with third-party payment solutions via UIWebView.

Experience with internationalization (both language and currencies)

In depth knowledge and experience with the Foundation framework, NSURL classes and protocols and third-party networking frameworks (e.g. AFNetworking).

Knowledge of Multithreading in iOS and related issues.
