Description
location: LondonMy Client, a global tier 1 investment bank, are seeking core Java Developers with extensive application knowledge, in low-level, concurrent environments. A large scale transformation programme is underway which needs the best engineering talent to build and support the next generation of systems. Technical mastery is key, and whilst Investment Banking (FX) experience is beneficial in the ideal candidate, it is high calibre technical candidates who will be of primary interest. This could include experience in similar low-level development environments such as gaming and telecoms.
Essential technical experience:
- Java mastery essential. The candidate must have a very strong grasp of idiomatic Java SE, and will have experience of working with a wide range of supporting library sets.
- Java EE. Basic understanding of large-scale distributed Java-based architectures, including experience of at least one enterprise-class JEE container (JBoss, WebSphere, Weblogic, etc).
XML/XSLT
- Messaging (at least one of JMS, MQ, AMQ, 29 West, etc)
The purpose of the position is to specify and build cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of a top-tier FX business, both cash and options. An attitude to learn and develop within a progressive and demanding environment is essential, with an emphasis on technical excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either experienced senior Java developers with strong FX knowledge to join a progressive development team, or highly talented developer seeking the opportunity to break into the Investment Banking space.
Contract: 6 Months+
Rate: £550 - £650
