Description

Medical Affairs Manager with direct reports and European responsibility:

An incredibly innovative and exciting role has been released exclusively to Real Pharma.

Basic Requirements:

This opportunity requires either a GMC registered Pharmaceutical Physician with a minimum of 5 years' experience OR a qualified Pharmacist with full final signatory status.

The role will be responsible for products within the Psychiatry/Neuroscience arena so experience in these areas would be ideal, however it is not essential. Experience of managing a wide portfolio of products in various TAs would also be helpful.

Exceptional leadership skills is a must and this should be demonstrated by direct line management experience within Medical Affairs, preferably for a team of at least 2 indivdiuals.

You will be managing a team of 4, including MSLs. In addition to management, this role will also look after strategy for the Medical function and will be responsible for the UK, Ireland and Nordic regions.

You must have the ability to shape and influence positively in order to support commercial activities and the medical team.

Reporting Line:

This role reports directly into the European Medical Director and has dotted line report into the General Manager for Northern Europe.

Company Culture:

This organisation's working environment offers a lot of autonomy for individuals. Whilst it encourages a collaborative culture, it is very lean and employees are able to delve into their roles and expand their remits. This environment is ideal for those who enjoy working in smaller organisations and don't like the politics and numerous approvals required when working in big Pharma.

Who is this role for?

I would be keen to speak with candidates who have already worked at the management level and who are interested in the company culture and autonomous approach. This is a role where you will be building and implementing new processes so someone with similar experience is not only essential to be successful in the role but also to enjoy it.
