Description
The role will be to abstract, analyse and accurately code clinical information from patient record using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications. These must be in accordance to the Trust's Coding Policy, Procedure guidelines and National Standards.The role requires a great attention to detail and logical thought process.
This data will be reported across the NHS and will be used at national and local level for monitoring and planning patient treatment and for research and epidemiology purposes.
Key Skills and Requirements;
- Accredited Clinical Coder
- NHS Coding experience
- Understanding of NHS systems and terminologies
- ICD-10 and OPCS expereince
