Description
Systems Engineer - Financial Services - AD - SQL Server - ISS - Windows ServerSystems Engineer is required to join UK's leading insurance company based in the City of London.
Key Responsibility of System Engineer:
- Design, Implementation, Operation, Support
- Maintain competence and personal development
- Take key decisions in respect of the impact of the fault/change on users and the existing infrastructure
- General 2nd/3rd line support
- Software Lifecycle management and upgrades
- Maintain device software versions and configurations according to standards and policies
Essential Experience of System Engineer:
- Very strong understanding of Microsoft technologies such as:
- Window Server R2
- SQL Server 2000 & 2005
- Internet Information Service (IIS)
- Basic understanding of
- .Net framework
- Web Hosting
- LDAP, HTTP, TCP/IP
- Load Balancing
- Past experience in desktop support
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols & technologies
- Experience in Banking & Finance or a similar high pressure environment
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Desirable:
- MCSE, MTP, MCDBA
Salary - £25,000 - £32,000 + Benefits
