SERVICE MANAGER - WOMEN'S SERVICES - NHS TRUST - ESSEXAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to work for a Acute Trust within a desirable location in Essex for a 6 month extendable contract.
You will be deployed across the Women's Service areas to support service lines as required and agreed with the Clinical Director or Associate Director.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in a middle/senior management role in an NHS acute service provider
* Evidence of extensive (and successful) staff and budget management experience (with control) in an operational environment.
* Evidence of successful management of change in a large complex organisation.
* Proven project management experience and delivery of a project on time and to budget.
* Evidence of personal responsibility for improving operational efficiency and delivering savings from the reorganisation of services. * Experience of developing and delivering business plans to support
Essential Knowledge:
* Demonstrate an understanding of current DoH initiatives including SLM, national standards e.g. 18 weeks, cancer and 4 hour targets.
* Demonstrate a knowledge of the framework and governance of a Foundation Trust
* Demonstrate knowledge of the NHS and the modernisation agenda particularly in relation to the delivery of acute services within the current challenging financial climate.
* Demonstrate understanding of leadership and motivation theory.
* Demonstrate understanding of quality improvement programmes/initiatives.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of the wider context of Governance
This role is paying a professional day rate of Circa £400 per day DOE.
