The role:
The Strategic sourcing solutions Programme Manager leads a complex strategic change programme and business transformation. They act as a role model, leading as one global team, demonstrating active leadership and communication. Programme Managers are responsible for deploying the GCD Programme Management framework and other Business Transformation Frameworks within their programme and instilling good programme disciplines within their programme and across Global Change Delivery and the Group. The role holder has end to end responsibility for supporting all aspects of the programme, including definition, controlling, execution, change management and implementation. They are also responsible for ensuring effective handover to the business to support effective benefits realisation. They work closely with the Opportunity Assessment Managers and the SSS team to ensure alignment of their projects with the SSS strategy.
The Programme Manager will often play a people / team management role within the projects / programme they work on. As members of the SSS management team, they will also have line management responsibility for two PMO resources.
The Programme Manager will not own the projects in the programme and must work in a consultative fashion with the Opportunity Assessment Managers to fulfil their role.
