A market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of optical motion capture systems require an FPGA engineer, for an initial fixed term 12 month contract with the strong likelihood of this being extended further.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
High speed digital, schematic capture (Ideally Orcad)
VHDL coding for FPGA design (Ideally Altera)
Basic analogue design skills and board level debug and test.
Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a fast paced team.
A working knowledge of the following would be highly advantageous:
- CMOS image sensors
- Optics
- Gbit Ethernet
- PCIe
- NIOS processors
- LED control Circuits
- Experience with ensuring regulatory compliance (EMC) is achieved.
Ideally the candidate will be educated to degree level in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years industrial experience.
